The Department of Statistics is home to internationally respected experts in statistics and data science. Maintaining and advancing our leading reputation for teaching and research is our top priority. In line with our strategic ambitions, we are looking to appoint an External Engagement and Communications Officer to join our growing professional services team.
As the External Engagement and Communications Officer, you will be responsible for organising, promoting and supporting the Department’s events programme, including conferences, public lectures and key student events. You will organise and promote the Department’s engagement activities, working closely with a range of stakeholders and exploring opportunities for collaborating with industry and potential donors. You will also have responsibility for growing and maintaining connections with our alumni network.
Candidates should have experience in a similar role, preferably in Higher Education with experience of event planning and management. Candidates need excellent IT and verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt content and style for different audiences.
