The Marketing and External Relations department at Edinburgh Napier University, is responsible for building our reputation, promoting our academic excellence, sharing our student experience, highlighting our research and innovation, driving our fundraising ambition and ensuring we engage with our alumni.
Currently, we are recruiting a Schools Marketing Manager to play a key role in creating and delivering engaging marketing and communications activities to promote academic reputation and expertise, while supporting student recruitment.
The role:
As Schools Marketing Manager, you will have the remit to use your strong experience as a Business Partner to take ownership of the planning and delivery of engaging and effective marketing and communications plans/activities, in line with the University’s strategic priorities.
The role will essentially see you taking on marketing account management responsibilities for specific schools across the University, which will allow you to use your consultative approach and creative mind to provide strategic marketing expertise to internal clients. This includes translating requests for marketing support into effective briefs, liaising with the wider Marketing and External Relations department, making recommendations for potential approaches or promotion opportunities, leading on projects where required.
We anticipate that you will be confident in nature and able to communicate effectively at all levels, and the role will give you the opportunity to represent the team at Senior Leadership meetings and establish yourself as a trusted advisor on marketing activities aligned with recognition, reputation and recruitment goals.
Your skills in project management will also serve you well as you work closely with colleagues in the Marketing, Communications, and Creative teams to plan and oversee the delivery of effective and on-brand graphic design, multimedia, social media and online content to support University priorities, and other strategic opportunities.
This includes creating, maintaining and optimising content on the University’s external website and your strong understanding of complex web pages and online journeys will inform how you maximise interest and enquiries through the website and encourage our audiences to engage with us.
