About us
The UCL Global Business School for Health (GBSH) is integral to UCL’s academic strategy and forms part of the UCL East development in Stratford. It provides the opportunity for UCL to help create and support a cadre of leading professionals with the skillset to meet the challenges of healthcare delivery and improved population health on a global scale in the 21st century. The GBSH draws on academic expertise from across UCL, but, in particular, from the Faculty of Population Health Sciences (FPHS) within which it is housed. FPHS is one of the two leading Population Health Schools in the UK and top among Russell Group universities. The health and healthcare sectors are changing rapidly. Much of this change has recently been driven by Covid-19, which has spurred innovation. Across the healthcare industry, processes are becoming more digitised to streamline operations, drive costs down and create more access, particularly for ageing populations. There is also a consumerisation of healthcare as health systems shift from treatment to prevention and early detection. Again, this evolving consumer health landscape is driven by tech-enabled, digital health solutions.
About the role
The Programme Lead will be critical in delivering our online part-time EMBA programme. This programme took its first cohort in 2023/24 academic year. This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of the MBA Health programmes at the UCL Global Business School for Health, based at UCL East. The programme focuses on giving EMBA students a similar experience as our full-time MBA Health but in a flexible online format for those in work. UCL values programme leadership responsibilities as set out in the Academic Careers Framework. Consequently, this role is a great opportunity to share your expertise with staff, students and society while also developing your career at UCL. They will be responsible for the organisation and management of the programme, rankings, recruitment and for the academic experience of the students on the programme.
