The Role

Associate Professor, Health Services Research (Midwifery)

The Centre for Care Excellence for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professionals is an innovative, collaborative partnership between University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust (UHCW) and Coventry University. The Centre is seeking to recruit a new Associate Professor who will be appointed jointly by the University and the Trust to help lead the further development and success of the Centre and be responsible for leading research.  Key objectives will be to enhance patient care through research, practice development, education and innovation.

Qualifications Required

We are seeking a motivated, experienced and passionate candidate who is a Registered Midwife with a PhD who has a strong track record in clinical academic research.

Our Successful Candidate

To be successful in this role you will require evidence of developing and delivering evidence-based projects, grant applications, high quality research outputs and practice improvement. Role activities for you will be demonstrable impact on practice, education and research within UHCW, Coventry University and beyond, to create national and international influence. A good understanding of the Research Excellence Framework (REF) is important.

You will work closely with other university Research Centre staff, colleagues across UHCW and researchers and academics across Coventry University. They will have evidence of embedded clinical academic research, leadership ability and be able to meet the requirements of the Research Excellence Framework (REF).
