The Role
As an Assistant Professor in Paramedic Science you will undertake teaching and course coordination while supporting the development and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and other core activities ensuring students have an effective learning experience.
The School of Health and Care delivers an extensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses for professionals working in health and social care settings. We also have a large portfolio of CPD courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels including Advanced Clinical Practice, Independent prescribing and Global Healthcare Management.
Assistant Professors lead on aspects of the student learning experience including the leadership of staff teams. Based within the School of Health and Care you will work with and lead academic colleagues to enrich the student learning and teaching experience ensuring relevant evidence and professional context are embedded in modules and courses.
Our Successful Candidate
You will have demonstrable experience of successful teaching at higher education levels 4-7 in paramedic science with the development and demonstration of best practice in teaching, learning and assessment. An experienced team leader with good level of digital fluency, you will have experience using creating teaching materials for face to face and online teaching using a VLE.
Enthusiastic and self-motivated, you will have experience in the development and enhancement of an ‘active learning’ pedagogy as appropriate to the academic subject area.
