We are seeking to appoint an efficient and effective Project Administrator to provide support within the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Policy Innovation and Evaluation (PIRU) and for the NIHR-funded evaluation of the Pharmacy First programme in England.
The Project Administrator will deliver consistent high-quality administration to projects overseen by two Project Managers, in support of the wider research teams. It’s an ideal role in which to demonstrate and develop project administration experience across finance & procurement, human resources, logistics, communications and events, and contribute towards excellence in policy research delivery.
The ideal applicant will have proven administrative experience in an academic, or similar, environment, good IT skills (including excel) and experience of operating electronic finance, procurement and administrative systems within organisational policies and procedures. You will need to work to a high degree of accuracy and prioritise a busy workload to achieve deadlines. Excellent communications skills and team working with colleagues in the research and professional services team, and a ‘can-do’ attitude are essential. The post is part-time or full-time, 28 - 35 hours per week, 0.8 - 1.0 FTE and fixed term until 31 January 2027. The post is funded by the NIHR and is available immediately.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 4 in the range £34,011 - £38,198 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
