The role
We are excited to invite applications for a Research Fellow to work on and support the Horizon Europe R-Map project funded by the European Commission and UKRI. The position will be based at SHTM in the Surrey Business School. You will be part of a team in a vibrant, interdisciplinary research environment with a strong international reputation. This is a fixed term position for up to 21 months.
The main focus of the project is to conduct comprehensive research focusing on the socio-economic and spatial effects of remote working arrangements within the R-Map project in collaboration with colleagues in academia, policy-making and industry. Therefore, the ideal applicant will have a strong background in socio-economic and spatial analysis, as well as in analysing large surveys and evaluating forecasting scenarios. The successful applicant will be an important member of an international research team focused on understanding the effects of remote working arrangements in Surrey, the UK and internationally to inform relevant policies.
About you
The successful applicant will be based at the world-leading SHTM in Surrey Business School (SBS) and will have the opportunity to interact with other leading researchers in SBS and the Future of Work Research Centre. The post holder will work closely with colleagues in industry and some national/overseas travel may be required.
