As a Student Engagement Officer, you will:

  • Support students, and the University, with compliance requirements through attendance monitoring and audits for students on visas and in receipt of funding
  • Identify students needing support to engage with their studies, and assist students in accessing college services
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and personal tutors to support student engagement
  • Enhance student induction and transition processes
  • Support student-led peer mentoring and buddying initiatives
  • Maintain records of student interactions in line with college policies, and use data to analyse student needs and suggest improvements.

To be successful as a Student Engagement Officer, you should have:

  • Understanding of diverse student needs, student support services and current higher education trends
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office and Moodle (or another virtual learning environment)
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise work
  • Commitment to customer service and quality improvement.

Contract:
