About the role
Join the Bodleian Law Library Team as a Weekend Assistant Librarian!
The Bodleian Law Library is one of the largest academic law libraries in the country, and provides services to readers from the University, wider academia, and the legal profession.
You will be responsible for the Bodleian Law Library’s services at weekends and work as one of the senior library staff on Mondays contributing to planning and developing our library services. You will line manage a small team, answer enquiries, and provide a high-quality legal reference service to a broad range of Library users.
This is a permanent part-time, term-time only position, working onsite 25 hours per week during the University term. This role does not support remote working.
This role involves working at heights, lone working and regular manual handling.
About You
You will be professionally qualified librarian (or have equivalent experience) and have experience of working in an academic or legal library environment.
You will have excellent IT skills and familiarity with library catalogues and online resources.
You will have experience of supervising staff, a commitment to good customer care, strong collaborative skills and proven ability to work independently and prioritise workloads.
Knowledge of European languages is desirable.
