Lincoln College invites applications for a Lecteur/Lectrice to provide teaching in French Language across three years (1st, 2nd and final year students (year 3 is usually spent abroad). The post is a fixed term role from 5th October 2025 – 20th June 2026. This consists of translation into French, essays in French on current affairs or broad cultural subjects, summary exercises, grammar, and French conversation. Teaching will be under the direction of the French Tutors at Lincoln College, Brasenose College and Christ Church, in line with each of the college’s needs.
The role will include delivering a minimum of nine contact hours per week of teaching (three hours per week for each of the three colleges), averaged over the three Oxford teaching Terms, and work associated with that e.g., preparation and marking.
The salary offered is in the £27,838 - £31,459 (with discretionary range to £34,046) (current rates for 2024-2025), pro rata. Applicants will be required to provide original documentation showing their right to work in the UK.
