Salary: £31,387 to £46,485 per annum, depending on skills and experience (minimum £34866 with relevant PhD). Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
A Research Associate/Fellow is required to undertake research as part of an EPSRC IAA-funded project. This research will be undertaken at the Biodiscovery Institute at the University of Nottingham. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher to join our team and lead research efforts in gas fermentation for the production of polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHA). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in microbiology, biotechnology or chemical engineering with expertise in gas fermentation, metabolic engineering and biopolymer production. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects at the intersection of sustainability and biotechnology. Candidates must have a PhD in Microbiology/Biochemistry/Biotechnology/Chemical Engineering or related biological science (or be near completion).
This full time (36.25 hours), fixed term post is available until 31 December 2025.
