Oxford University Department for Continuing Education (OUDCE) is seeking to appoint a Senior Finance Officer.
About the role
You will be a key member of the Departmental finance team, reporting to the Finance Manager. You will support the finance team by assisting with month and year-end reporting, managing student fee income, reconciling financial transactions, and supporting debt recovery processes. The role also includes accounting for research projects, providing guidance to budget holders, and ensuring that project funds are managed according to sponsor terms.
This is a full-time position, available on a permanent contract.
About you
You will have a strong technical understanding of accruals basis accounting and attention to detail. Ideally, you will be experienced in managing financial reconciliations, reporting, and debt recovery processes. The role also requires the ability to provide advice and support for departmental research projects and financial procedures, ensuring compliance with policies and sponsor terms.
