Applications are invited for the Estonia-Oxford Postdoctoral Visiting Fellowship in Baltic Studies for the academic year 2025-2026. The Fellowship is intended to support scholarship related to the Baltics in the European Studies Centre’s areas of interest, which include: Contemporary European History, European Comparative Politics, International Relations, Economics, Anthropology, Sociology, Social Policy and Cultural Studies. A particular interest in Europe is essential.
Applicants should hold a doctorate at the time of application and a good working knowledge of English is essential.
The fellowship is awarded for three terms from 1 October 2025 until 31 March 2026. It carries a research grant of £20,000 plus other College benefits. Taxation in the UK and elsewhere depends on the individual circumstances of the candidate and independent personal advice should be taken as necessary.
The successful candidate will become a member of the academic community of the European Studies Centre, and a Visiting Fellow of St Antony’s College. They will be expected to reside in Oxford during tenure, to pursue his or her own research, and to participate fully in the academic life of the European Studies Centre at Oxford, for example:
