Research Fellow - Evidence Synthesis (fixed term until December 2028)

We are now looking for a Research Fellow in Evidence Synthesis to join a growing and vibrant team working as partners in Liverpool City Council’s Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC), funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (Health Determinants Research Collaborations Liverpool - Liverpool City Council). This is an exciting, challenging, and varied role, working collaboratively between Liverpool John Moores University and Liverpool City Council to foster a research-active environment and embed a culture of evidence-based decision-making to address health and health inequalities.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of individuals working in a lively and stimulating environment for public and population health research. The team has strong and enduring links into local government and our local communities, and with national and international organisations, including the World Health Organization.

You will have a PhD or equivalent research experience in public or population health or a related discipline, and a high level of expertise in developing research objectives related to evidence synthesis projects, managing resources, and conducting both individual and collaborative research. You will lead the initiation and development of evidence synthesis research projects and reviews and contribute to the creation of a rapid evidence support system tailored for Liverpool City Council. You will help to ensure that the project’s research activities are conducted to the highest standard and demonstrate a commitment to excellence in research and community engagement.
