Alumni Engagement Officer is a key role within the Development & Alumni Relations Office (DARO) as you provide the first point of contact for our global alumni community and will use your skills in communications and events to build and strengthen mutually beneficial relationships with this important audience.
We are a busy team and this role offers lots of opportunity to develop your skills, taking the lead on new and existing projects. You will be working closely with DARO colleagues as well as other professional services teams and academic colleagues, and of course regularly interacting with our inspiring community of 35,000 alumni who embody our mission to bring about global health equity.
You should hold a minimum of a second-class honours degree with excellent customer service and attention to detail. Demonstrable experience of alumni relations, fundraising or communications within education sector, not-for-profit sector or a membership organisation is a must. You are likely to have skills and experience in many of the following areas: communications (print & digital), event management, project management, and CRM systems, while some basic design or videography skills would also be advantageous. The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1 FTE and permanent.
The salary will be on the Professional Services salary scale, Grade 4 in the range £34,011 - £38,198 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London.
