About the role:
Working with the Dean as part of the School Leadership Team, the post holder will contribute to the School and the University’s vision and strategy, helping us deliver an outstanding student experience, grow our income, shape our new educational offer to our learners, foster a supportive and empowering culture for colleagues, and improve student outcome and experience metrics.
You will work closely with the Dean, Associate Deans and Professional Services colleagues to develop and manage income generation and academic development activities. The post holder will be expected to lead on designated areas of course development delivered within the School, and to lead, manage and support other team members.
About you:
The successful candidate will have experience of successful leadership and academic delivery; including teaching, assessment, and portfolio development in a Higher Education environment, along with experience of quality assurance and regulatory processes and procedures related to management of course quality and delivery. You will have a credible and well-respected professional track record as evidenced by professional recognition, networks and/or involvement with external partners, and be able to think strategically and develop and deliver strategic plans. Being able to envision the future of veterinary education and clinical care, identifying emerging trends and technologies that can be integrated into teaching, knowledge exchange and research is essential. You must also be proactive in supporting and developing a positive high performing team culture and possess a Doctorate or Higher Degree. (or equivalent professional qualifications or equivalent experience).
