About the Role
The successful candidate will undertake and manage the day-to-day running and activities of the routine histology service with the supervision of junior staff as appropriate. Participation in research activities, including training of visiting researchers, will be included.
About You
The candidate must be a State Registered Biomedical Scientist (HCPC) with an MSc or equivalent in Cellular Pathology and IBMS specialist diploma in Cellular Pathology with relevant post-registration experience in a clinical histology laboratory. Experience in frozen sections, special stains and cut-up are essential. Knowledge of HTA and UKAS accreditation is desirable.

The post is based at the Whitechapel Campus in London. It is a full time (35 hours per week) indefinite appointment, with an expected start date of March 2025. The starting salary will be Grade 4 (plus Market Supplement equivalent to NHS Band 7 including LW) £54,320 - £60,981 per annum.
