The Centre for Policing in the School of Law and Social Sciences at Middlesex University offer an exciting opportunity for a full-time Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to join our friendly and dynamic team.
Middlesex University hosts one of the world’s longest-established Criminology Departments with a strong focus on applied criminology research. As lead provider in a national consortium of four Higher Education Institutions, we play a key role in delivering professional policing programmes. These include the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA), which we currently provide in collaboration with Surrey Police, Sussex Police, Thames Valley Police, and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary.
We are looking to complement our existing team through the appointment of an experienced scholar practitioner who can provide programme leadership for the PCDA and further develop our professional offer. The successful candidate must have experience of delivering high quality teaching programmes and facilitation of learning within a university and/or in practice settings. They will be able to work collaboratively, with a track record of high-quality partnership working.
We are especially keen to hear from women and people from ethnic minority backgrounds, as we are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive team that reflects the communities we serve.
If you’re passionate about shaping the future of policing and police education, please apply or for informal discussion contact the Director of Policing Programmes, Suki Lim S.Lim@mdx.ac.uk.
