We are embarking on an exciting journey to replace a number of legacy technologies that make up our current Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and are seeking a talented Project Manager to lead this critical initiative.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to lead the Enterprise CRM project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, business analysis, and hands-on project execution.
This role requires a proactive individual who can manage the project lifecycle, analyse business requirements, and perform where necessary and appropriate, project officer tasks to ensure the successful implementation of the new CRM system.
We currently operate a number of technologies in the CRM space – including Anthology Radius, Gecko, Ellucian Banner Self Service, Engage2Serve and Maximiser. The ecosystem has grown organically, and while each application has been implemented to undertake a number of specific purposes, developments in technology, and user experience mean it is now time to review and rationalise the environment.
Specifically, Anthology Radius and the version of Ellucian Banner Self-Service that we are currently operating are being de-supported during 2025 – therefore the business processes that rely on these application’s capabilities are the first priority for the project to address. However, we hold longer term aspirations to rationalise the wider CRM ecosystem, both to improve the technical infrastructure, but crucially to improve our ability to attract and retain students – to maximise the reach and impact of our educational offer.
Working closely with the Executive Sponsor (Chief Information Officer), and Senior Responsible Officer (senior manager with day-to-day responsibility for business processes reliant on this project), the role will lead the management of the project – commencing with detailed scoping, requirements analysis, and procurement of necessary solutions.
A key responsibility for the role holder will be to assemble and lead the team to deliver the project. We have a range of staff available to work on the project who are key users, system managers, and technical engineers of our existing systems – and budget exists to expand the team if necessary subject to an appropriate business case, which the role holder will need to develop if required.
We are seeking a proactive individual who is comfortable shifting their work between project management, business analysis, and hands-on tasks as required as the project evolves. The work required ranges from developing a clearly defined overall vision and scope for the project and communicating that with stakeholders at all levels within the organisation, through leading and motivating the project team, and managing the relationships with external suppliers.
For any queries about the role, please contact James Smith, Chief Information Officer, via email on J.G.Smith@mdx.ac.uk.
