The Department of Natural Sciences are looking for an effective individual to join and complement our current team supporting the delivery of our portfolio of neurophysiology and neuroscience undergraduate e programmes. The successful candidate will be an individual with an advanced background in Neurophysiology either as a lecturer or practitioner with a research interest focused on clinical neurophysiology.

You will be able to deliver high quality teaching, learning and academic support as well as be keen to participate in research/knowledge transfer and support outreach. You will be someone who is committed to promoting the development of the next generation of students, clinical practitioners and researchers.

Candidates should have strong leadership skills in order for them to play an active role in leadership of our teaching teams. We are offering the one post at either Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level. Lecturers are expected to deliver high quality teaching to students including the design, development and review of teaching activities and materials. They should be able to identify best and innovative practices in professional training, learning and teaching and build them into personal teaching practice. They must have the ability to give effective advice, guidance and feedback to students thereby supporting their academic progress and enhancing student experience and outcomes. Senior Lecturers are expected to be able to lead on the delivery of high-quality teaching to enhance students’ learning experiences and outcomes.

Successful candidates should bring practice- or research-based experience into innovative and authentic design of teaching and learning materials and activities. They should be committed to and understand how to develop the curriculum in line with professional body requirements and be able to demonstrate leadership. Senior lecturers will be required to lead on strategies to identify and implement best practice to give effective advice, guidance and feedback to students to enhance and support their academic progress.
