Background
The post holder will perform an important role in the delivery of a responsive, expert and efficient procurement service that strives to deliver high quality and cost-effective outcomes but also to promote compliance with City St George’s legal obligations and its internal policies and procedures. The Procurement service also manages City St George’s portfolio of insurance.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role centre on tendering and contracting for City St George’s requirements, providing guidance and assurance to stakeholders, including challenging non-compliance with City St George’s Policies and UK Law. The role will also assume responsibility for elements of City's St George’s insurance portfolio, and proactively seek opportunities to improve value for money using data analysis and market knowledge.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills and an eye for detail. They will be persuasive in their support for City St George’s stakeholders, champion continuous improvement and hold City St George’s values as a core deliverable in every aspect of their role. Understanding of the Public Contracts Regulations (2015) is essential.
