With a rich history spanning over 125 years, City St George’s Students’ Union’ is the primary organisation representing every City St George’s student. That makes the Students’ Union the representative body for over 20,000 members.
With five Full-Time Student Officers, a team of permanent staff and the involvement of student volunteers, the Students’ Union is at the heart of activity on campus tasked with improving and delivering the best Student Experience. The Students’ Union delivers a range of services and support for its members, from independent academic advice to supporting our Programme Reps to enhance their course, to promoting the employability and development of students through our Communities Team. The Students’ Union also runs a bar and two shops which sell a range of products, including ethically sourced University branding clothing, merchandise, and stationery.

We are looking for a Student Voice Coordinator to join our Representation & Democracy Team to help us build a better students’ union, one that students rely on and are proud to be a part of. This new post is designed to lead our work on improving the student experience at City St George’s Students’ Union by organising and analysing student feedback through the use of real-time student voice tools, student engagement activities and more.
Responsibilities
In this role you will become our in-house expert on the student experience by regularly collecting, organising and writing up student feedback gathered on the academic and wider learning experiences of our students. Alongside working with our Union team, you will work with City St George’s to ensure student insight is at the heart of the work the university progress day-to-day and in their longer-term strategic projects.
You will contribute to the support and work of our Student Leaders, including our 800+ Programme Reps and Assembly Members who each year set our Students’ Union Priorities giving us a clear steer of what needs to change for students.
Person Specification
You will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to build rapport and effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders. You will be well organised with the ability to manage a busy workload and meet deadlines. You will have project management experience and a good awareness of the issues and challenges affecting students in Higher Education today.
