Background
The Brand Marketing Assistant role is within the Brand Marketing team, part of the Marketing & External Relations department. The department drives the development of City’s external profile and reputation and supports the objectives set out in City’s Strategic Plan.
Reporting to the Brand Marketing Manager, the Assistant supports the creation and production of a wide range of marketing initiatives and collateral to help promote City to external and internal audiences.
Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the role is to project manage the development of marketing campaigns and materials for departments across City St George's, such as Careers, Sustainability, CitySport etc, helping them engage with their audiences. The Assistant collates and edits copy, briefs designers, oversees amends processes and organises production.
The role-holder also assists in the development of University publications and campaigns. They are responsible for planning and coordinating photo and film shoots, managing the University image library and developing and proofing copy.
Person Specification
This role is ideal for someone looking to develop within marketing; gaining experience in project management, design processes, digital and print production, film and photoshoots.
The role involves liaising with colleagues across the University, so candidates must be confident and demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills.
They must have an excellent level of written and spoken English with an aptitude for copywriting and proofreading, be able to manage a project to time and budget and be able to work autonomously.
