Location: Radcliffe Observatory Quarter, Woodstock Road, Oxford moving to the Schwarzman Centre in late 2025
The Humanities Division is seeking to appoint a Head of HR to lead the policy and HR teams in establishing a cohesive and effective HR function. This senior leadership role presents an exciting opportunity to focus on fostering career progression, cultivating a positive workplace and driving HR excellence in the Humanities Division.
The successful candidate will develop and implement strategies to ensure the HR model aligns with the aims of the division, while working closely with other HR leaders across the University, and provide guidance, mentorship and support to the HR team.
This is a complex and challenging position requiring significant experience of HR management, with a strong track record of leadership and relationship management.
In addition to a Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or a related field and CIPD level 7 (or equivalent experience) the successful candidate will have extensive experience in HR management with a focus on shared services, operations and policy development. Strong interpersonal skills, strategic thinking and collaboration abilities are also essential to be successful in this role.
