Are you looking for a role which can offer an opportunity to lead the design, development, and delivery of system solutions? We are looking for an experienced Finance Systems Technical Lead to take a key role in the development and support of financial application services, as well as other business administration services.

The role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by taking the lead on larger project delivery and contributing to the planning, development and implementation of solutions that will deliver value and benefits to the University of Law. You'll work in a dynamical and supportive environment that values creativity and innovation.  The role adapts a hybrid approach with a balance of working from home and from our London Moorgate campus (once every two weeks)

Please note: Occasionally, you may be required onsite during project workshops (in the event of an online setting not being viable).

As our Finance Systems Technical Leadyou will:

  • To lead and assist on the implementation of upgrades and developments needed for the financial applications mainly Unit4 ERP system and other related system
  • Design, develop and test new system developments, producing detailed design specifications and documentation, and ensuring at all stages that the developments will meet stakeholder requirements and expectations
  • Provide expert technical advice to Finance Management and key stakeholders on best practice and use of system to ensure the University maximises the system to its full potential.
  • Apply specialist knowledge to provide advice and support to respond to and resolve customer requests/incidents/problems.
  • Report creation and the creation and maintenance of data structures in accordance with end user requirements.

Is this you?

  • A technical specialist with significant relevant experience in similar or related role in development and administration of large corporate systems mainly Unit4 ERP (Agresso)
  • Able to demonstrate high quality, customer focused support service in a complex and diverse, multi-site environment, delivering value and conforming to industry best practice and audit requirements
  • Strong and proven SQL skills to query the database and configure reports
  • Experience of Report creation using Unit4 ERP Excelerator, Information Browser and Xtra Reporting tools
  • Creating and maintaining interfaces between different corporate systems.
  • Able to provide user training and ability to create learning and process documentation
  • Self-motivated and directing, able to identify and select the best approaches and methods to development activities
