The Department
The Directorate is comprised of the University's senior management (Vice-Chancellor’s Executive) and related support teams, including Strategic Planning, Legal Services and the Office of the Vice-Chancellor.
The Role
The main purpose of this role is to work within Directorate Administrative Office to provide administrative support to the Head of the Office of the Vice-Chancellor; Deputy Clerk to the Board; Executive Assistant to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor and University Secretary; and the Clerk to Academic Board.
This role will contribute towards the provision of an effective, efficient and professional quality administrative service within the Directorate Office, working within the University’s processes, procedures and guidelines.
The Person
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communications skills, particularly good written and spoken English and the ability to relate to staff at all levels of the University. The ability to work as part of a team is essential as is executive support experience. Good organisational skills and attention to detail are required. Discretion and the ability to maintain confidentiality are essential.
