Queen Mary University of London Students’ Union (the Students’ Union) is a representative and campaigning organization providing high quality services, activities, and opportunities for Queen Mary University of London students. QMSU Services Limited is the wholly-owned subsidiary of the charity (QMSU –the Students’ Union). Carrying on the business as a commercial social purpose company, the services are provided principally for students, staff, and guests of the University.
The Students’ Union supports over 28,000 students who make up the diverse and vibrant student body at Queen Mary University of London.
We are looking for someone who can enhance the student experience, has a positive attitude, and is committed to improving the inclusivity of our activities while providing excellent service. The successful candidate will be able to use their initiative and remain flexible when handling a variety of impromptu tasks. Applicants should have excellent organizational and communication skills, experience in administration, and the ability to work with a wide range of people from diverse backgrounds.
The Club Sport Co-ordinator will provide operational and administrative support to student groups, ensuring they run smoothly, remain active, and comply with all regulations and policies. They will coordinate Queen Mary’s involvement in British University and College Sport (BUCS) and London University Sports Leagues (LUSL), as well as manage Club Sport Committee meetings, oversee annual events and campaigns, and collaborate with the sports team to support and develop sports clubs. This role includes planning and delivering training for student groups, enhancing the student experience, and driving the growth of QMSU Club Sport clubs by supervising professional coaches, managing coaching budgets, preparing financial reports, and recruiting skilled coaches. Additionally, they will work closely with sports clubs and staff to meet development goals, identify improvements, and promote club growth.
This is a full-time (35 hours per week), permanent position. The starting salary will be £32,321 per annum pro-rata, inclusive of the London Allowance, with annual raises by one point as set out in the QMUL Pay and Grading Structure.
