Job description:
We have an exciting opportunity in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering for someone with a flair for research in power microelectronics looking to use their skills in gate drivers and converter designs to make an impact on semiconductor power and capabilities. You will develop innovative proof-of-concept solutions from devices to converters in the field of power microelectronics via hybrid power switches.
You will be educated to PhD level, or have equivalent experience, with experience in in-depth analysis of power semiconductor devices, hybrid power device technologies as well as working towards building power converters using these. We’re looking for a keen team-player (ideally with experience in a research environment) with a track record of high quality publications in top tier journals and learned societies. Creativity and the intuition to devise innovative solutions are essential, as is the ability to manage your own workload in the face of numerous workload pressures and deadlines.
