Job description:

We have an exciting new opportunity for someone to join the Clinical Infection Research Group (CIRG) as a Research Technician. We are looking for a highly organised and enthusiastic Research Technician with a sound background in molecular biology and/or immunology, and ideally with experience of next generation sequencing methods.

You will have a life sciences degree including a portfolio of research laboratory experience.

You will be part of a dynamic team of scientists and clinicians working on a project involving Phage ImmunoPrecipitation Sequencing (PhIP-Seq). You will be encouraged to collaboratively work with other laboratory staff on the set up and sequencing of clinical isolates.

As the successful applicant, you will work closely with research teams led by Prof Thushan de Silva and other UK and overseas collaborators. This is a fixed term post for 1 year.
