Job description:
An opportunity has arisen to recruit a research assistant (RA) / post-doctoral research associate (PDRA) to join a team developing novel medical devices, battery technology and therapies for the remote monitoring and treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease through Innovate UK, EPSRC and MRC-funded projects.
You will be based at the University of Sheffield and will work closely with the project team to conduct research and coordinate device testing and analysis. PDRA will be expected to manage, plan and execute operational people and project deliverables. RA will be provided with the necessary support and training to deliver and develop current as well as future teams and studies. Studies will require analytic, wet lab, animal and translational skills as well as a Home Office Personal licence.
You will work with a team with extensive skills in device development and translational studies. You will be supported by Prof Alex Rothman and will be embedded within a flourishing research group.
You will be encouraged to develop links within the broader University and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals community including the Sheffield Pulmonary Vascular Disease Unit.
You will benefit from attending seminar series and other scientific meetings held across the University.
