Assistant Professor in Sustainability and Geography

The School of Education is looking to hire an Assistant Professor in Sustainability and Geography. This is a 5-year tenure track, full time contract post as Assistant Professor in Sustainability and Geography Education. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, and supervision duties across the School, and will have an active programme of research in geography education that will contribute to the international profile of the School. The post of Assistant Professor in Sustainability and Geography Education is essential for the continued development of teaching, research, and supervision within an interdisciplinary approach in the School of Education. The successful candidate will co-ordinate the PME in Geography Education. They will teach and supervise on this course and contribute to the School’s postgraduate taught and research programmes including supervision at masters and doctoral levels. The post-holder will undertake research, knowledge generation and dissemination in the field of Sustainability and Geography Education.

Post status: Tenure Track. This position is a Tenure Track position which is 5-years in the first instance, permanency is subject to satisfying the tenure requirements

Salary:  Appointment will be made on the Lecturer Salary Scale (109BN) commensurate with qualifications / experience and in line with Public Sector Pay Policy (€41,500 to €99,550 per annum) www.tcd.ie/hr/assets/pdf/monthly_academic.pdf.
