We are seeking candidates for the role of Senior Lecturer in Nursing (Learning Disabilities Nursing) to contribute primarily to the provision of our pre-registration nurse education programmes.
You will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a registered nurse (Learning Disabilities Field) with a first degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. You will be expected to deliver innovative, high-quality teaching across a range of modules and provide support to students within clinical placement areas. You will also lead on service user and carer input into the programmes and support embedding of the Oliver McGowan training into our programmes.
The School of Nursing has over 140 staff and includes a wide range of professionally qualifying health care courses. We are growing to meet the needs of people who wish to work with a host of employers in healthcare and related areas. We include courses in nursing, nursing associate, public health and a wide range of continuing professional development opportunities. We have expanded on our newly developed skills centres to offer hands-on teaching of nursing and healthcare professions skills through a comprehensive range of state-of-the-art equipment.
