Are you passionate about social media and creating impactful, engaging content? University of Gloucestershire is on the hunt for a creative Social Media Marketing Officer to manage and grow our digital presence and help to recruit students.

About the role:

  • Run our social media channels, ensuring timely and relevant engagement.
  • Devise innovative social media strategies alongside the Content and Brand Manager.
  • Craft compelling content (paid and organic) to inspire audiences throughout the academic cycle.
  • Develop integrated campaigns to boost student recruitment and university visibility.
  • Analyse performance data to report the impact of campaigns and drive improvement.
  • Stay ahead of social media trends, championing innovation in the Higher Education sector and work with student ambassadors to co-ordinate ambassador led content

What We’re Looking For:

  • A degree or equivalent experience in social media marketing.
  • Proven experience in implementing social media strategies and campaigns.
  • Experience in creating short form content for TikTok and Instagram reels
  • Someone who can work independently, use their initiative and build up good relationships with stakeholders
  • Good copywriting skills tailored to diverse audiences and platforms.
  • A proactive team player with excellent communication, IT, and problem-solving skills.
  • A commitment to inclusivity and creating a welcoming environment for all.

Desirable: Experience in Higher Education marketing, agency work, or skills in design, photography, and videography.

This is a hybrid role and the successful candidate will be expected to work 3 days a week on campus.
