The School of Psychology at Liverpool Hope University seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Psychology who can contribute to its BPS accredited programmes. The successful candidate will contribute through new and innovative research lines that complement the existing research in one of the three research groups. In the Developmental Research Group, existing research strengths include the acquisition of language and literacy, and the development of emotional wellbeing and regulation in clinical and non-clinical groups. In the Social and Applied Research Group, we have expertise in conflict and political violence, occupational health psychology, and the exploration of social identity. In the Vision and Cognition Research Group, research strengths are recognised in spatial navigation, visual search, aesthetics and social cognition.
Consistent with the School of Psychology’s ambitions for excellence in teaching and in research, the successful candidate will support the teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and contribute to its growing reputation for excellence in research. We are particularly interested in candidates who have a specialism in developmental psychology, focused predominantly on social and emotional development, but all high-quality candidates in this field will be considered. The successful candidate will benefit from bespoke psychology laboratories that house up-to-date facilities for research and teaching.
