The Materials Innovation Factory (MIF) is a flagship strategic research facility built on world-class knowledge leadership in Materials Chemistry, Lab Automation and Digital Chemistry, with the vision to transform how Chemistry is done and accelerate material discovery. A portfolio of £15M of formulation and analytical equipment is made accessible to academic and industrial users of the MIF, which is supported by a dedicated technical team.
We are looking to recruit a Technical Support Officer to join our team, with expertise in the areas of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy and Thermal Analysis. You will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality research and technical support to MIF users, by providing training, contract research services, and supporting equipment hire, along with general day-to-day laboratory maintenance and services.
You should have a BTEC Higher Level (or equivalent) with formal training in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline, and proven experience in both operating and maintaining complex scientific instrumentation within a laboratory environment.
This is a permanent full-time post.
