Birkbeck, University of London, is seeking a motivated and experienced Electron Microscopy Facility Integrative Imaging Specialist & Training Coordinator to collaboratively run the ISMB Electron Microscopy Facility, with a focus on integrative imaging and user training.

The Facility is part of the Institute of Structural and Molecular Biology, a joint Birkbeck and UCL research institute, aiming to understand the mechanisms of life, and to strengthen the identity of structural and molecular biology required to provide a deeper understanding of the mechanisms and molecular basis of health and disease.

As Electron Microscopy Facility Integrative Imaging Specialist & Training Coordinator you will be part of a team overseeing the running of the ISMB Electron Microscopy Facility, and will specialise in integrative, correlative imaging workflows including related sample preparation.

This role involves supporting the research of the ISMB Facility user community too, and will provide opportunities for you to develop your own research projects.

You will cooperate closely with the High Resolution Specialist, and External Research Coordinator, and with EM Research Computing colleagues to enable the quality-focused, safe and efficient running of the Facility.

This opportunity would build on postdoctoral research experience primarily in correlative imaging or cryo-electron tomography reconstruction. The successful role holder will have a PhD in this, or a similar area.

If this role looks like the right fit for you, apply with us today.
