Background
We are looking for a Departmental Assistant to support the Departmental Administrator and staff with the Nursing Department to ensure that the department runs smoothly, efficiently and effectively at all times.
Responsibilities
To provide routine secretarial support to include typing of day-to-day correspondence, maintaining filing systems, photocopying and using a variety of software packages to produce correspondence, documents, spreadsheets and databases.
Assessing priorities in correspondence/emails and telephone calls.
Person Specification
Excellent organisational skills are required including the ability to plan, prioritise and manage own workload and be confident in the use of IT systems; MS Office packages Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
A high level of interpersonal communications skills, both written and oral, using a 'customer-centred' approach.
A high level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks.
