Please note: We are advertising concurrently for a University Teacher in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation at grade 6 and 7. One post only is available and, therefore, we will make one appointment at grade 7 or grade 6 following interviews.
The main duties of the University Teacher in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation will be to support the SSEHS Exercise Rehabilitation and Sport Rehabilitation Programmes. These will include but are not limited to delivering lectures, seminars, practical and laboratory-based sessions. There will be administrative tasks allied to module leadership and the organization of Practice Based Learning opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have practical experience within a sport or general health setting and will be able to carry out suitable assessments and prescribe exercise with individuals who are healthy, injured or who have a musculoskeletal limiting condition.
They will have experience within an educational setting and will hold a relevant teaching / coaching qualification.
They will have a PhD in a relevant discipline or will be in the later stages of attaining a PhD (depending on the candidate we may accept those who have yet to start a PhD but are willing and able to do so). Qualifications at undergraduate and postgraduate level aligned to the use of exercise in musculoskeletal rehabilitation are preferred.
