Why UAL? Because the world needs creativity.
With a first-class reputation and across its 6 equally renowned Colleges, UAL is a world Top 2 university for art and design. Across Camberwell College of Arts, Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Arts, London College of Communication, London College of Fashion and Wimbledon College of Arts, UAL academics, students, staff and alumni generate and inspire the creativity the world needs.
This is an exciting time to join the university, as we are embedding social purpose in everything we do as part of our 10-year strategy. Key to delivering this strategy will be our first-ever comprehensive campaign, which aims to raise significant philanthropic income and volunteer engagement for student support, academic excellence and social purpose. We are seeking an experienced trusts & foundations fundraising specialist to join our Development and Alumni Relations department, which sits within our new Social Purpose Group, to help shape how we engage supporters and drive forward our campaign. Could that be you?
As our Head of Trusts & Foundations, you will maximise income from trusts, foundations and statutory sources to support UAL’s strategic priorities. Leading a small team, you will build on our current strategy and implement a plan to generate growth in income, cultivate and steward relationships with existing and prospective supporters, and ensure that compelling propositions and proposals are brought together and reported on. Your success in our team will be supported by your solid track record and experience of building relationships with, and securing significant gifts from major funders. There is an opportunity to shape transformational fundraising initiatives at UAL so it will be important that you are able to work with key stakeholders across the colleges and bring creativity and perseverance to develop new ideas. Most importantly, you will bring a deep appreciation for the arts, education and creative industries, and the impact these have on society.
If you are interested in being part of an inspiring vision that will enhance the world’s creative future, we’d love to hear from you. To have a confidential discussion regarding the role please contact Sonja Dunphy, Managing Director at Richmond Associates: info@richmond-associates.com, +44 (0)20 3617 9240.
We particularly welcome applications from minority ethnic candidates as they are under-represented within UAL at this level.
