We are seeking an organised and proactive Administrative Coordinator to support research activities within the School of Education, Learning and Communications Sciences (SELCS). This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to large-scale, high-impact projects, including the management of a Horizon Europe project (0.6 FE). Your expertise in project coordination and organisational skills will be vital in ensuring the successful delivery of this project.
You will oversee administrative operations, supervise a small team, and support research staff and postgraduate students. Key responsibilities include managing projects, budgets, coordinating events and assessments, and contributing to strategic initiatives such as the School’s REF submission. This role offers the chance to work with diverse stakeholders, streamline processes, and make a meaningful impact on the School’s research and PGR activities. You will also play a central role in liaising with stakeholders across the Horizon Europe project, ensuring smooth communication, efficient progress tracking, and adherence to deadlines.
About You
The ideal candidate will have substantial administrative experience, preferably in research or higher education. Strong organizational, financial management, and IT skills (including Microsoft Office 365) are essential. Experience supervising staff and familiarity with systems like SAP or SITS is a plus.
