Your role will be to develop and deliver industrially focused education in pharmaceutical science, Chemistry and closely related areas. You will plan, deliver, and assess a range of modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level in the above and related areas, using a variety of approaches. This will include classroom and practical work in our modern, well-equipped laboratories. It is expected that you will establish an independent programme of research and/or enterprise activity, using the latest instrumentation (e.g. Avance NEO NMRs), supported by numerous faculty and University-led competitive funding schemes, for emerging researchers, including PhD studentships. You will play an active role in the work of the department outside the classroom - for example outreach, open days and personal tutoring.

Our students and staff will be sought after for their skills, knowledge, and ability to innovate. We will enable our students to develop the future skills and personal attributes to prosper in their careers and focus our research, knowledge exchange, and professional practice where it can have impact and drive innovation. Through our Town House Strategy, Kingston University will meet these challenges by delivering a progressive new model of education and will champion search impact and influence through our newly formed Knowledge Exchange and Research Institutes. We will partner with businesses and other external bodies to support innovation and generate and disseminate knowledge. Collaboration and innovation will underpin everything we do.

In addition to your undergraduate degree, you will hold a doctorate in a relevant Chemistry-related discipline. You will also be a flexible team worker, responsive to needs of the department. On a personal level, your core motivation will be to deliver exceptional teaching, research, and support to our students.

By the end of the probation period, you must have achieved the relevant level of UKPSF recognition (if this has not already been obtained). For those new to teaching, this will be through our accredited Introduction to Learning and Teaching and for those experienced in teaching, through our Kingston Academic Practice Standards Framework.
