Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC) was approved to set up the postdoctoral program in statistics by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People's Republic of China (MOHRSS) in 2023.The establishment of the program will foster the development of statistics and its related disciplines. UIC statistics programme is recognized as a key programme at the high-level university construction plan of Guangdong Province in 2021, and selected as a national top-tier undergraduate programme in 2022. UIC statistics programme has been approved by the Ministry of Education (MOE) in 2016 and Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) in 2021to recruit MPhil and PhD students.
This program has five chair professors and five professors, including three national-level high-level talents, and one national-level high-level youth talent. UIC provides good research facilities, for example, the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Interdisciplinary Research and Application for Data Science (IRADS), which will support research activities of postdoctoral scholars. To enhance the service for postdoctoral scholars, rules and regulations have been made and improved, aiming at creating a even better living and research environment for postdoctoral scholars. As guided by the international recruiting plan and innovation talents plan of MOHRSS, University encourages international communications and welcomes excellent postdoctoral scholars.
