The Role
The role provides an exciting opportunity to work on NIHR HealthTech Research Centre (HRC) in Diagnostic and Technology Evaluation (DTE) projects that employ established and innovative approaches (mixed qualitative and quantitative methods), to develop and evaluate new diagnostic tests to address a wide variety of challenging clinical needs.
You will join a team of knowledgeable methodologists in designing, modelling, and analysing quantitative and/or qualitative data for health care research.
Reporting to Dr Kile Green and the Institute Technical Manager team, the role will display an in-depth knowledge of technical or scientific methodological practices, and procedures gained through either experience and/or formal qualification and will deploy this knowledge to provide a range of technical support activities.
You will provide and organise technical and methodological support for the operation of the NIHR HRC DTE. Responsibilities will include carrying out complex research projects, experimental design, planning and progress of work, along with quantitative and qualitative analysis and participation in the publication process.
The skills you will utilise may include grant writing and/or ethical applications, scientific writing, qualitative research including systematic searching, and/or quantitative research including statistical modelling & health-informatics, and/or health economic modelling.
This post is offered on a fixed-term basis for a period of 12 months.
