The role
The Administration Assistant role within the Faculty of Arts Education Team will act as the first point of contact for students needing support from the Faculty Education Team.
What will you be doing?
As well as providing excellent customer service and support by acting as the first point of contact for queries into the Faculty, the role holder will resolve queries relating to providing letters and transcripts, room bookings, printing by triaging and responding to queries and signposting relevant sources of support. The role may also provide general office support to the Faculty Education Team including calendar diary management, formatting of documents, managing post, stationary, welcoming and directing visitors, dealing with routine Faculty enquiries in person or on the telephone, delivering messages in a professional and efficient manner.
You should apply if
You should have previous experience of providing exceptional customer service while working in a busy environment where tact and discretion are important. You should understand how systems and procedures directly impact on your work and be confident to make decisions about priorities and tasks, recognising when to refer to or involve others where the activity or situation is more complex.
You should be able to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail with excellent IT skills including use of Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel, with some experience of SharePoint and Planner), use of electronic diaries for multiple people, and experience of using databases for data entry.
