Centre for Engineering Education (CEE)

The Centre for Engineering Education (CEE) is a joint centre between the UCL Faculty of Engineering Sciences and the UCL Institute of Education. It aims to provide research and curriculum development to deliver improved engineering education worldwide. It is actively engaged in the engineering education research community and in using that evidence-based research to deliver innovative and high-quality student experiences at UCL and for external partners through collaborative consultancy projects.

About the role

This post will support a broad range of administrative functions within the Centre for Engineering Education (CEE).
The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative background and will be proactive, highly organised and an effective communicator. This role requires strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently, solve problems and manage several projects concurrently. Experience in a similar environment is desirable.

About you

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:

  • A good general education to GCSE/A levels, NVQ Level I/II Administration, or equivalent or having acquired substantial relevant experience.
  • Experience of meeting, event and conference organisation.
  • Experience of managing website and social media content.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with a wide variety of people of varying levels of seniority including industry leaders, research councils, professional staff and students.
  • Ability to work independently, willingness to take responsibility and initiative, ability to adapt work and focus as urgent needs arise.
