This post is a 12 month position to support the development and validation of AI/machine learning methods for MRI data for the diagnosis and prognosis of dementia. This work forms part of a Wellcome Trust funded Innovation grant to apply machine learning to neuroimaging for clinical benefit.

This post will suit someone with neuroimaging and/or machine learning experience, particular someone focused on clinical translation. The focus of the 12 months will be to build on existing machine learning models, optimising their use to include multimodal MRI data. There will be scope to develop self-directed projects and to design follow-on projects.

For this post, the successful applicant will have a background an undergraduate degree in a neuroscience, psychology, engineering, computing or similar subject, with a PhD in a related field. A familiarity with neuroimaging data and curation will be highly desirable, as is experience with coding in programming languages such as python and matlab. This is a collaborative project, so good organisation and communication skills are essential.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance.
