Mary Immaculate College (MIC) is an autonomous, university-level, Catholic College of Education and the Liberal Arts. Founded in 1898, and linked academically with the University of Limerick, MIC is the oldest higher education institution in Limerick. Assistant Professor in Education with Expertise in English Language and Literacy MIC Limerick Campus
Mary Immaculate College wishes to appoint an Assistant Professor in Education with Expertise in English Language and Literacy on a full-time, permanent basis.
The Department of Language and Literacy Education is seeking an innovative and resourceful member to teach on Education programmes within the Faculty of Education. The person appointed will have duties in the area of English Literacy. They will have general duties also in the area of education, e.g. supervision of school placement, etc.
The duties will also include lecturing on the undergraduate (B.Ed., B. Ed in Education and Psychology, B.Ed. – International), postgraduate programmes in Education (including the PME), participating in the delivery of part-time and out-of-semester programmes, as well as other programmes to which the Faculty of Education may provide a service. The person appointed will contribute to course design and policy formation at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
