About the role:
The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering has an exciting new opportunity for a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Surface Hydrology and is looking for a highly able, enthusiastic and well-motivated applicant wishing to develop a career in a world leading teaching and research institution.
The Department has an outstanding international reputation and has been awarded the top rating in every national review of university research held since 1986. The successful candidate will join the Environmental and Water Resource Engineering (EWRE) Section, which is known worldwide for its wide ranging and high-quality programme of research and teaching activities.
Candidates will be considered from across the breadth of the field and will also be expected to collaborate across other disciplines. A strong track record of research excellence and originality will be required to establish a programme of research that can contribute to water management, hydrological simulation and forecasting, water resources and risk planning, climate change adaptation, and ecohydrology, among others. The post holder will also contribute to teaching activities.
The post is full time and open-ended.
