Faculty / Directorate

The Registry Services Directorate comprises responsibility for the administration of the student journey from registration to graduation, and consists of the following functions: student records, quality assurance, UKVI compliance, timetabling, student records, examinations, awards and graduations, and student casework.

Role

As the Head of Student Journey, you will take strategic and operational responsibility for delivering a seamless student experience from registration to graduation. This critical role ensures the effective management of key services, including timetabling, student fees and funding, international student services, and exams and awards. Reporting to the Director of Registry Services, you will lead the development and integration of high-quality, student-centered administrative processes and services while ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the full post-admissions student journey, managing processes from registration to graduation, including timetabling, fees, international support, and awards.
  • Lead a diverse team, fostering a culture of service excellence and continuous improvement across Registry Services.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including UKVI and SLC, while optimising processes to meet institutional needs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance timetabling, attendance monitoring, and student engagement systems.
  • Develop transparent and efficient processes for scholarships, fees, and funding, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
  • Build strong partnerships across the university to align student administration practices and deliver high-quality, student-centered services.
  • Monitor sector trends, integrating best practices into policies and ensuring the university remains competitive and compliant.
  • Manage budgets effectively, delivering efficient and cost-effective services that support institutional priorities.
