Faculty / Directorate
The Estates & Commercial Services Directorate is large and diverse, employing circa 300 people, ranging from plumbers, electricians, carpenters, cleaners, porters, leisure centre assistants, to property management professionals, architects, project officers, CAD, space management, sustainability and energy and administrative personnel.
Role
You will be responsible for the effective supervision and organisation of a team of cleaning staff providing an efficient cleaning service to those areas of the University Campus under the responsibility of Estates & Commercial Services which supports the day to day work and learning experience of staff and students.
You will work within allocated buildings of the University. This busy and varied role incorporates all duties related to both general and reactive cleaning, assistance with ceremonies and corporate events and the responsibility for ensuring allocated areas are ready for the business of the university to commence.
This role is on a part time basis of 15 hours per week, working 17:00-20:00, Monday to Friday. Please note salary £26038-£30505 pro-rata.
Ideal Candidate
For this post we are looking for a flexible team player with good experience in modern cleaning techniques (BICSc or equivalent). An awareness of Health and Safety will be required along with a good understanding of delivering a high quality service. Further training will be offered to the successful candidate.
